PROFESSIONAL RESUME
Born July 7 th, 1949, Eric Vaudevire, married with
three daughters, lives in Domjean, in the Vire river valley,
in Normandy.
His passion for gardens and plants dates back to his childhood
but his education includes several fields: Law (University of
Paris X), Insurance (North-eastern University, Boston, USA)
and Garden design (Jardins & Espaces Verts at the CFPPA
in Coutances and Brevet de Technicien Supérieur en Aménagements
Paysagers at the Ecole Supérieure d'Agriculture in Angers)
From 1973 to 1993, he worked in the insurance industry, with
managerial positions in several insurance groups (Paris, Brussels,
Boston) then as an insurance broker in Normandy.
In 1993 he came back to his childhood passion for gardens, and
in 1994 he launched his landscaping outfit "Paysages du
Val de Vire"
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the "Union
des Parcs & Jardins de Basse-Normandie" (Parks and
Gardens Association of Lower Normandy) since 1997.
